The Mexico City Attorney General's Office (FGJCDMX) announced that a judge has formally charged Mario "N" for his alleged involvement in drug-related offenses, specifically street-level drug dealing.
Authorities said the investigation identified Mario "N" as a suspected member of H1A1, a criminal group linked to La Familia Michoacana. The organization is allegedly involved in extortion, street-level drug trafficking, kidnapping, criminal conspiracy, and money laundering, and operates in the Mexico City boroughs of Iztacalco and Iztapalapa.

How Mario "N" Was Arrested in Iztapalapa
On July 13, 2026, officers from the Mexico City Citizen Security Secretariat (SSC) arrested Mario "N" in Iztapalapa after conducting a preventive search that allegedly led to the seizure of several packages containing narcotics, a firearm, five rounds of ammunition, and two cell phones.
The suspect and the seized evidence were turned over to the Public Prosecutor's Office. Prosecutors incorporated officers' statements, forensic chemistry reports, and other evidence into the case to support the charges during a hearing held on July 20, 2026.
The judge ordered Mario "N" to remain in pretrial detention and granted prosecutors one month to complete the complementary investigation. Regarding the firearm, the judge ruled that the offense falls under federal jurisdiction, meaning Mexico's Attorney General's Office (FGR) will continue investigating that portion of the case.
H1A1 Operations and Areas of Influence
H1A1 is a local criminal cell dedicated to street-level drug trafficking and extortion. Authorities identify it as a faction or affiliate of La Familia Michoacana, a well-known Mexican drug cartel.
The group primarily operates in the Mexico City boroughs of Iztapalapa and Iztacalco, as well as neighboring areas in the State of Mexico.
According to authorities, its main sources of illicit revenue are retail drug sales and extortion payments collected from businesses. Security forces have arrested several alleged members of the organization in recent operations across the Mexican capital.
Detained H1A1 Leaders
Authorities identify Daniel Eduardo "N," also known as "El Chaparro" or "El Orejón," as the principal leader of the H1A1 criminal cell. He was arrested in August 2025 in Iztapalapa.
Sergio "N," alias "D3," has also been identified by Mexican authorities as a leader of the organization and as its financial and logistical operator, allegedly linked to narcotics cultivation warehouses. He was arrested in September 2025.
Raúl Miguel Marcos Tapia, alias "El Messi," was captured in Iztapalapa in October 2025.
