The Mexico City Health Department on Wednesday updated the death toll from the explosion of a gas truck on Sep. 10.
According to the latest update from the capital's government, the accident left 30 dead, 15 hospitalized, and 39 injured, who have already been discharged from hospitals following the accident in the Iztapalapa district.
The most recent death was a 21-year-old woman admitted to the Victoriano de la Fuente Narváez Hospital.
The explosion, one of the most serious in the city's recent history, occurred when a tanker truck with a capacity of 49,500 liters overturned and exploded on Calzada Ignacio Zaragoza, near the Puente de la Concordia bridge in Iztapalapa.
Among the injured is a two-year-old girl who survived after being protected by her grandmother, who died on Saturday from burns covering more than 90 percent of her body.
On Monday, the girl was transferred to Shriners Hospitals for Children in Galveston, Texas, after sustaining burns covering 25 percent of her body.

The death of the gas truck driver, who authorities accuse of causing the accident by driving at excessive speed, was reported last week.
However, surveillance camera footage from the area released on Wednesday by Mexican media shows the vehicle traveling at a moderate speed before the explosion.
